ESBE, An internationally multi-accredited executive education institution specializing in sustainability, the circular economy, and human capital transformation – purpose-built for MENA's financial, healthcare, energy and SME sectors.

The Story Behind

ESBE, an internationally multi-accredited executive education institution, was born from Everest Consulting's two decade – plus accumulated experience in business transformation, economic re-engineering, Islamic financial schemes structuring and architecting developments. Our founders also possess exceptional experience in building and developing advanced educational systems that keep pace with all economic changes and transformations, placing people at the forefront of development and economic transformation, and leading societies towards economic prosperity. Their expertise was honed through close collaboration with governments, multilateral institutions, and private sector leaders to elevate financial inclusion and sustainable growth into national priorities - work that has directly contributed to measurable GDP growth in four countries. We've delivered impact through sector-specific economic strategies (agriculture, tourism, pharmaceuticals, and education) that boosted exports in the Euro-Med region, developed and monitored Country Assistance Platforms (CAP) to accelerate trade, and implemented poverty reduction programmes for marginalised communities. Our digital financial transformation advisory has supported fintech firms worth over $1 billion, creating scalable solutions that bridge critical policy gaps. From crafting FDI-attractive policies to aligning key sectors with SDGs, we transform economic vision into tangible results through a unique blend of technical expertise and on-the-ground implementation experience.

The business background also encompasses expertise in co-structuring 18 Shari’a-compliant asset-backed international real estate Collective Investment Schemes and Foreign Investments in the form of close-ended mutual funds, SPCs, trusts, structural schemes, and administrative portfolios. These schemes have been capitalised with USD 1.5 billion through private placement and leveraged with 55% LTV (approximately USD 900 million). The legal structures of the Collective Investment Schemes are tax-efficient, close-ended, and based on a Joint-Venturing model. The leverage involved (i) senior loans from financial institutions and (ii) secondary financing amounting to approximately USD 900 million. Despite the conventional nature of the senior loan providers, all loans are structured using Islamic tools including, but not limited to, Master Ijara (lease-to-optional ownership), Property Commodity Murabaha, and Mudaraba. Furthermore, the secondary financing is raised on a mezzanine funding (debt) basis and includes priority funds (subordinate to the senior obligations). The structuring themes are not only devised to acquire properties but also to finance the VAS (Value-Added Services) and development protocols attached to properties using Istisna’a and Wakala Investment against a boca vacantia ownership in the properties’ utilities. This expertise extends to devising legal structures for placing Islamic banking products, international commodity syndications, and asset-backed financing products, including Corporate Ijara Sukuk and Tier 1 Capital Mudaraba Sukuk.

ESBE was born from a powerful question: What if we could take the impact of 10+ years of strategic consulting with governments, global corporations, and NGOs and turn it into a full-fledged educational institution for MENA's future leaders?
